The Sales Manager (Local & Schools) is responsible to drive trade sales and business development to ensure that they are delivered in line with company business objectives. You are required to take initiative and be a self-starter to work independently and prioritize tasks. You are also required to build and implement trade sales strategies from identified market sectors and achieve agreed volume and revenue targets in conjunction with the company strategy. You will act as a main point of contact for business partners, schools and communities; close liaison with travel agents handling local market; work closely with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and develop MICE opportunities where appropriate.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Possess a passion to drive sales and account management for the Local & Schools segment.
  • Accountability with managing end-to-end process of projects you own in a fast-paced environment.
  • Plan and implement the ongoing annual sales plan for all attractions in the cluster to achieve volume and yield through trade sales channels.
  • Develop forecasts and strategies to achieve sales at yield levels to ensure profitability.
  • Actively seeks out major trade partners and forms good partnerships with key agents and business partners.
  • Ability to build and maintain trade partnership and handle a list of key accounts and ensure their needs are looked after.

  • Build trade sales channels and develop framework to deliver revenue and volume delivery through third parties and trade channels of schools and communities.

  • Track, analyse and report on the performance of all sales activities, provide recommendations and/or propose new initiatives and product development opportunities in support of the company’s financial goals.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, markets and competitors’ activities, and serves as a business representative at major industry events, conferences or trade shows.

  • Establish and foster partnerships with key partners both externally and internally. Efficient work collaboratively across internal key stakeholders.

What we expect from this role:

  • Degree holder, preferably in Hospitality or Tourism Management with experience in tourism, entertainment or attractions industry.

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 or more years’ experience in the Sales and Marketing or similar field.
  • Strong learning agility, excellent interpersonal & communication skills, result-oriented, a great team player and looks for a long-term career development.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Embrace start-up company culture, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on and self-motivated approach.

  • Passion for travel or attractions industry.

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with good business sense and enthusiastic in nature with the ability to motivate and lead a team.

  • Excellent salesmanship and account management qualities. Self-starter and ability to work calmly under pressure.

  • Good planning and organisational skill, budget and report writing skill are required.

  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

  • Computer knowledge on Microsoft Office (English & Chinese Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Positive, pleasant and outgoing personality.
